
As most of you know Emerlan is the emergencies Lanzarote based charity that Lanzarote Musician Unite raised funds for in the concert that took place on the 10th of May, 2020.
These are the figures of the NGO’s (non-governmental organisation) actions during the first 58 days since the State of Alarm started in Spain on the 14th of March, 2020:
+6,000 received phone calls in 58 days
9,255 health and social emergy action undertaken – breakdown as follows:
1,519 1st need kits delivered
6,006 food parcels delivered
253 shopping and chemist trips
814 other kinds of trips
213 medication deliveries
291 medial visits
159 emergency actions
And 32,000Kg of food delivered to different collectives, families, etc.
In Lanzarote and La Graciosa, without rest.

“Son ya más de 6.000 llamadas recibidas en 58 días.
9.255 intervenciones de emergencia sanitaria y social, con el siguiente desglose:
Reparto de lotes primera necesidad: 1.519 unidades.
Picnics repartidos: 6.006 unidades.
Compras y farmacia: 253 movimientos.
Varios (traslados): 814 movimientos.
Reparto de medicación: 213 movimientos.
Visitas médicas: 291
Urgencias: 159 intervenciones
Hemos repartido más de 32.000kg de alimentación entre diferentes colectivos, familias etc.
En Lanzarote y la Graciosa,sin descanso.”

Some impressive work!!! And they haven’t stopped since either… certainly some heroes don’t wear capes.
